2017

DPD in Russia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GeoPost, and SPSR Express, Russia’s CEP (courier, express, parcel) market leaders, announce their merger.

2011 – 2013

In 2011 which is an anniversary year for the company SPSR-EXPRESS continues developing dynamically. It improves its infrastructure, expands the range of services, increases the courier car fleet by over 25%.
SPSR-EXPRESS provides its couriers with mobile terminals for quick data exchange with the company’s uniform information system.
In October, 2012 the company launches a new product line. From this moment all operations related to the delivery of shipments and cargoes are performed using new “products” of the company: “Colibri Document”, “Cheetah-Express”, “Pelican-Standard”, “Bison-Cargo” and “Freight”. As a result of upgrade of the product line not only does it become possible to reduce significantly the delivery timelines, but also to expand the geography of services and the range of the services provided.
In 2012 the company develops and launches a unique project “CardHomeDelivery”, to become the first specialized carrier for delivery of credit cards in Russia. As it provides services in more than 100 cities, the company uses a unique technology that enables it to track the movement of the cards and deliver information on the card status, GPS reference points of delivery and photo confirmation (passport photo, recipient and signed documents) on-line to the partner bank.
The staff of specifically trained financial consultants enables the bank to implement long-distance projects of any degree of complexity with the signature of all banking documents, gathering of information required for cards activation on a real-time basis.
By the beginning of 2013 SPSR-EXPRESS opens an international line by signing agreements with the largest world operators, retailers and e-tailers: ASOS, NEXT, Sears, etc.
Due to the executed agreements goods from the most popular Internet resources arrive at the Russian market and SPSR-EXPRESS enhances its positions in the Russian market.
In the same year the company develops and launches in the market a new comprehensive e-commerce solution – “PickandPack”. The solution will ensure a full-range operation of the Internet store: from creating the site to storage of the goods, picking and packaging of the order, tracing its movement and delivery to the customer.
Today SPSR-EXPRESS continues growing and developing. By constantly implementing new technologies and offering its clients modern logistics solutions, the company already provides services in more than 6,000 cities and inhabited localities of the Russian Federation: from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. The company’s infrastructure consists of 9 distribution centers, 200 branches and representative offices in big cities of Russia, more than 4,000 full-time employees and 1,000 own cars.

2007 – 2010

In 2007 SPSR-EXPRESS opens a modern logistics complex in Moscow in Volgogradsky Prospekt with the area of 10 thousand square meters. The Company significantly expands the operating capacities, increases the shipment volumes, implements new technologies and seeks to achieve the highest quality standards.
Within the framework of implementation of the business development program in the international market in 2008 SPSR-EXPRESS obtains the Certificate of Entry into the Customs Brokers’ Register. This helps to reduce the customs clearance timelines significantly as well as to minimize the customers’ risks.
In the same year SPSR-EXPRESS begins providing Direct mail services, and offers its customers an additional service of SMS notification of the shipment delivery. The improvement of the single route network of the company continues: the existing interregional car routes are optimized and new interregional car routes are launched.
In 2009 SPSR- EXPRESS becomes the first among Russian express carriers to implement a modern computerized sorting facility. The new unique system significantly reduces the timeframes for the processing of shipments and guarantees the control of shipment integrity.
The Company begins providing overnight delivery services in 2010. At the same time it develops and implements a separate operating platform for the processing of orders of long-distance trade companies. The customers are offered additional packaging services that allows for simplifying the process of cargo preparation for shipment and ensure better protection of shipments. For the purposes reducing the delivery timelines, courier routes are restructured, the car fleet is upgraded, and new operational hub is opened.
Another important event for the company occurred in 2010 – SPSR-EXPRESS won the tender for delivery of documents and materials of the Uniform state exam.

2005 - 2007

SPSR-EXPRESS comes out with the initiative to create the first Association of Non-state Mail Service Operators (ANSMSO) in Russia, which gains the support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Communications.
By early October, 2005 the area serviced by the company already includes 3 thousand Russian Federation cities, and the average annual growth rates reach about 90%.
A year later SPSR-EXPRESS becomes the first of the Russian courier companies to become the active member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation.
Concurrently SPSR-EXPRESS develops and offers an entire complex of logistics services to its customers – from express delivery to supply chain management. Transit centers are created in Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Vladivostok and Saint Petersburg, thanks to their operation the timelines for the movement of the cargoes between different regions as well as transportation costs are significantly reduced.

Years 2002 – 2004

SPSR-EXPRESS opens its branches in Kaliningrad, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg. The route network of the Company which is expanding on an ongoing basis is beginning to span such cities as Angarsk, Bratsk, Ust-Ilimsk, Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Salekhard, Nizhny Tagil, Kamensk-Uralsky. The company’s agency network is being supplemented by new cities too. Already by the end of 2002 – beginning of 2003 SPSR-EXPRESS makes deliveries to almost two thousand cities of Russia, of those its own branch network accounts for 15% of all shipments.
As it develops at a dynamic pace, the company also opens branches in Vladimir, Tula, Yaroslavl, Saransk, Cheboksary, Velikiy Novgorod, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Orenburg. By 2003 SPSR-EXPRESS already provides services in 2.5 thousand inhabited localities.
The Company is becoming a conspicuous player in the Russian market of express deliveries. By December, 2004 its own delivery network already covers all territorial entities of the Russian Federation, thus enabling SPSR-EXPRESS to use solely its own route network. It begins operations aimed at creating a single corporate informational and technical center cargo processing center.

2001

Trade mark SPSR was registered in February, 2001. Simultaneously the company’s headquarters opened in Moscow and the first branches opened in Saint-Petersburg, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod.
Year 2001 is becoming for the company the year for determining the strategy of development: SPSR-EXPRESS seeks to occupy the leading positions in the logistics market in express delivery segment that is new to Russia.
